Trauma Informed Care
Mental Health has been an emerging issue that is finally getting the attention it deserves and needs. We know that most mental health issues are created by unresolved trauma and if not created by trauma in our lives, then exacerbated by it. We wanted to have the capacity to respond to the core of the issue and help our partner programs and our communities have a resource so they can provide appropriate trauma response as well. This year meant adding a Certified Trauma Informed Practitioner and doing the work needed to create trauma informed training not just for our clients but for our communities and partner programs.
